| Bryant Red Brahmans is owned by Dr. Kevin Bryant, and was started in 1982 by Kevin's father, Barry Bryant. Over the past 25 years, the Bryant family has developed one of the leading Red Brahman herds in the United States, focusing on producing sound, efficient, functional breeding cattle to serve a worldwide marketplace. One of the landmark events in the history of the Bryant herd occurred when Barry purchased Mr 3X He's Got the Look 40/2 in the early 1990s. Most of the cattle in our herd go back to this great herd sire. As avid students of Brahman pedigrees and bloodlines, Kevin and Barry decided to add other different bloodlines to their program. They also purchased Mr. 3H X-Ray 825, who made a major impact on their herd. Both of these sires have been leaders of the Brahman breed for the past 15 years. In recent years, our most notable herd sire is BB Mr Sting-Ray 10/0, 2003 National Champion Red Brahman Bull.. Sting Ray's phenotype and conformation was awarded by many judges across the United States who made him one of the winningest Red Brahman sires of modern times. Sting Ray joined the prestigious American Brahman Breeders Association Register of Renown in 2006, and we are continually excited about his offspring. In 2006, Bryant Red Brahmans made Brahman history by selling the all time high-selling bull lot of the ABBA International Sale. BB Bronson was selected by Vladimir Valoy of Colombia and HK Cattle of the United States, and we look forward to seeing the contribution this bull will make to the breed. While not working on the ranch, Dr. Kevin Bryant is a practicing medical doctor in Dallas, Texas. He is currently serving on the ABBA's Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the International Committee. He also enjoys representing the association on his many International trips. He was the chairman of the very successful 2008 World Brahman Congress, which was hosted in Fort Worth, Texas. |
